Lighthouses in the State of Texas
State Prophecy
Road runners of Texas are like forerunners. They run with a message down the road. Run with the vision, be a trailblazer, mark the path, cut the trail, go through the gates for the bliss! We will see many road runners coming forth out of Texas for revival in the United States. Call them forth, stir yourself up and get ready to run! Bluebonnets are everywhere! Blue is the color of the mind and revelation…bonnet is a head covering. Look out Texas for the women are rising! This is the time for women to bring forth new revelation from God’s Word and from His heart for our land. The Texas insect is the monarch butterfly. This is the year of the butterfly! Those who have been in a cocoon, waiting to emerge, it is time to come forth and spread your wings. Soar in the heavenlies! Butterfly is a new sign just like the eagle for the prophetic. Texas is a prophetic state, filled with authority and government. This state will be on the cutting edge of setting policies that will spread to other states and places. Watch Texas. The topaz is the Texas gem, and it means “to seek”. It is the Novemeber birthstone and on the Jewish calendar would fall on the tribe of Dan, “the judge”. Look at Exo. 28:19. Watch Texas to bring forth justice. Pray for all our court systems and judges in Texas and our national government. Our State motto is “Friendship”. This state will know the friendship of God when His people seek His face first. Secrets will be unraveled and mysteries known from the youngest Texans. Watch the youth in Texas. Divine connections are very important. This network that He is building will not break as long as forgiveness and agape love abound. Connect outside your denominational lines and you will be blessed. The Lone Star State will shine alone and set the standard for other states. There are five points Texas must stand for: Israel, prolife, faith in public education, non-discrimination between the races and marriage between a man and woman. The Texas state bird is the Mockingbird which is unique to North America. They like to be at the very top of high places, sing loudest before dawn and sing loud, frequent songs. They mimic other birds. This is a warning, that we not go up to the high places, but tear down idols in our land. The enemy is always the loudest on his way out and he deceives us by sounding like someone different or the familiar. Texas State Song is an actual prayer: Pray the words, “Texas, our Texas! all hail the mighty State! Texas, our Texas, so wonderful, so great! Boldest and grandest, withstanding ev’ry test O empire wide and glorious, you stand supremely blest. Texas, O Texas! your freeborn single star, sends out its radiance to nations near and far, Emblem of Freedom! it sets our hearts aglow, with thoughts of San Jacinto and glorious Alamo. Texas, dear Texas, from tyrant grip now free, Shines forth in splendor, your star of destiny! Mother of heroes, we come your children true, Proclaiming our allegiance, our faith, our love for you. God bless you Texas! And keep you brave and strong, that you may grow in power and worth, throughout the ages long. God bless you Texas! …” by Rhonda Harkins 5/9/07 TEXAS OUR TEXAS A Prophetic Song (Based on State Song Texas Our Texas which was adopted in 1929) Merrie Cardin and Tom Schlueter July 2009 Texas, Our Texas! Come bow before Gods throne! Texas, Our Texas! Come worship Him alone! Youll be bolder and grander, withstanding ev’ry test His glory He’ll display and youll stand supremely blest. Chorus: God bless you Texas! And keep you brave and strong, That you may grow in power and worth, throughout the ages long. Texas, O Texas, He is your single star Youll send out its radiance to nations near and far, Emblem of Freedom! It sets our hearts aglow, It burns with Gods glory and brands us as His own. (Chorus) Texas, come worship, the One who sets you free Send forth His kingdom %u2013 this is your destiny Take up your mantle, a prophet true and strong Call back the nation. to worship God alone. (Chorus) LIGHTHOUSE INTERCESSORS GALVESTON REGION PRAYER TOUR APRIL 3-5, 2008 Rhonda Harkins, Eleanor Terry, and On Hui Wallace History belongs to the intercessor. As we gathered in a circle before we left, we prayed the Holy Spirit would take over every part of this trip and use it for the glory of our God and King. I was so blessed and thankful to be with my two dear sisters, Eleanor and On Hee. I had been on a roller coaster ride with faith for over a month, struggling with what I believed God had said to me, and waiting for the manifestation of His word. By faith I called many people around the Galveston area whom I didn’t know. I would explain the vision of Lighthouse Intercessors, which is a unique call, to pray at lighthouses for an open heaven to bring in His Kingdom. I would ask them to meet and pray with us, not knowing for sure who us was going to be, yet I knew I wasn’t going alone. So I was taking a leap of faith! Several would say to me over the phone or internet how brave I was to make this mission. I didn’t feel very brave, but just had this persistence that kept leading me on to make those connections. I was out of my comfort zone, my boat, for sure, and I would sense those waves about me many times, only Jesus keeping me buoyed up. I would say to myself at night I refuse to partner with fear, I am trusting You Lord. I will trust in You no matter what I see. So in less than one week before scheduled to leave on the 3rd of April, I found out dear Eleanor was coming with me! Then a couple of days before we left, On Hee said she was coming! Now what is even more interesting about this team, is they are “honorary” members of Lighthouse Intercessors. And everyone we were scheduled to meet with were not LI either. So this is became another experience in faith for me to carry the vision, for the purpose of fulfilling it, seeing how the Lord is going to use many from different callings to accomplish His purposes and His will. It is when we join together, we become a joint that supplies to do His work. The significance of the dates we chose would strike me later upon returning home. Here are some of the interesting things that happened on April 3rd. The pony express began to deliver mail. I knew that this was the year of the horse in the Spirit and that God was looking for those who would gallop and leap over boundaries and be like a warhorse, unafraid of the battle, to proclaim His Kingdom. What started on April 3rd, ended up becoming the Ironhorse, or railroad that delivered the mail! A lady had given me a vision of a train with me conducting it through different geographical locations earlier this year! April 4th was a day to call in from the 4 corners of the earth the harvest and to continue to assignment He had given me from the Jaffa Port on my trip to Israel in January. It was also the day that Sir Francis Drake was knighted for completely circumnavigating the world by ship! This day was also when Martin Luther King, Jr. had been assassinated and Eleanor had been there as a young person at the march for peace. April 5th-the date of the marriage between John Rolfe of Virginia and Pocohantas showing the walls coming down between the colonists and the First Nations. It was also on the 5th the World Trade Center was opened, representing every nation on earth! One of the ways Father speaks to me is through signs, so I prayed as we took off to Conroe that we would all get the “sign anointing” and pray accordingly as we went. As we drove through the different cities it truly was a prayer tour. We prayed His kingdom over each place we passed. One would see a sign, and the other would pray and then agreement would come as we all sensed His presence and knew He was leading us. Some examples I remember, and there are many, is the word for the month of April the Lord had given me about calling in the Gold, and to lift up the gold standard wherever we went in Texas. Holding the Standard in family, in ministry and the workplace Christ for the Nations Conference held April 3-5. Standard: morals, ethics, and habits established by authority of Gods Word. I began to call in the Gold, when On Hee saw a big sign that said, “GOLD INN” and we all began to say in agreement, “Bring in the Gold, Lord in this state! Let the Gold come forth in Texas, in every region, every city, every place for Your glory!” Another word the Lord had given me had to do with the bear anointing, and how the Hebrew word “paga” means intercession, to stand in between and declare “It is finished”. This is seen in a mother bear when something or someone gets between her and her cubs. What happens after that is a finishing anointing for sure! From Dutch Sheets Intercessory Prayer book he states, The Hebrew word for intercession, paga, means to meet. Intercession creates a meeting. Intercessors meet with God, they also meet the powers of darkness. Prayer meetings are aptly named! We become the go-betweens! We enforce the victory of Calvary! Prov. 17:12,Let a man meet a bear robbed of her cubs, rather than a fool in his folly. Paga is frequently a battlefield term. (We had our prayer meeting on the San Jacinto Battlefield that won the battle for the Republic of Texas, a birthing took place, a birthing of a land set free from oppression. Texas is the 28th state of the We, through prayers of intercession, meet the powers of darkness, enforcing the victory Christ accomplished when He met them in His work of intercession. We saw many bear signs throughout our trip and were prompted each time to pray the finished work of the Cross over places and the people in each city. When we saw IHOP signs we prayed in agreement with all the many International Houses of Prayer and those who had prophesied over Texas. We saw many bluebonnets and prayed the prophetic word the Lord had given me concerning apostolic women were arising in Texas, filled with revelation and a true humility as their covering, having the mind of Christ. We were also excited to see so many horses and horse signs on our trip, as it was the Jewish month of Adar, a time to celebrate leap year, to leap over obstacles by faith and run as a warhorse in His Kingdom. We also saw many navigation and ship signs, and asked the Lord for a breaker anointing to break through like a ship breaks through the water as she sails. It was so fun to hear the Lord together and pray, so energizing and precious to be in unity and feel His blessing upon us as we traveled! Our first place of divine connection was at my brother’s home in Conroe. It was interesting that we were staying the night on Stephen F. Austin Street, one of the founding fathers of Texas. After dinner, we went over to the River Plantations Gazebo to pray over Conroe and the Houston area. We had a wonderful time of worship, waving banners, singing, and praying over a list of city council and other leaders. We also prayed for the youth, the churches in the area, the businesses, the families, and whatever else the Lord lead us to pray or proclaim. Eleanor blew the shofar in each direction as we called in from the N, the S, the E and the W the Bride of Christ to come into His Kingdom and receive His grace and love. We took photos on the bridge near the gazebo, and knew that the bridge was a significant symbol for our mission. From there on we saw many, many bridges throughout our trip. This became a sign for us of humility and of connecting others to the Body, for reconciliation. Eleanor was given a new song of the Lord, that we would become bridges for people instead of walls; that all barriers would come down in the Body of Christ. As I continue to see Bridge signs, I know the Lord is bringing reconciliation to His Body through His intercessors. He is preparing the way for revival of love that will testify to the world that He is Savior and Lord. Peacemakers break down barriers between others by the words they speak and by their actions. There must be shalom in our hearts first to speak peace and bring peace. Saw vision of lion and the lamb several times now in Christ. We had been seeing many signs of ships and navigation signs on our way. I had a vision of a huge ship with Houston written on the side. It was a massive ship and I could just see the front part of it., as if looking right up beside the place where it was anchored. Eleanor said that when the leaderSHIP unite, then the followSHIP will come together, and then true fellowSHIP will take place! I felt this meant that Houston was going to be a place where His treasure was coming in. We left the next morning, April 4th, after having a prayer time with my brother, sister-in-law, and parents to make our way to the San Jacinto Monument, where Texas was born! We stopped to buy a whistle so we could whistle for those the Father was calling home. Here is where on this strip of coastal prairie in 1836, on April 21st, the volunteer army led by Sam Houston, Commander-in-Chief of the Army of Texas, decisively defeated a larger Mexican army and won Texas independence. Sam Houston was painfully wounded in this battle. It was through Houston that the battle was won, like Barak and Jael, Houston and Emily Morgan! This battle opened the gateways for Americas continuing westward expansion. The Battleship Texas was the only surviving battleship fought in both world wars, commissioned in 1914. Texas battleship was lauded as the most powerful weapon in the world in WWI. We met our first prayer warriors who had taken up the vision to join us! I was so thrilled to meet Janet and Darlene, two precious sisters in the Lord called to intercession. Darlene stated in an earlier email she sent out inviting people to join our mission: On April 4th, a very significant prayer event will take place here in the Bay Area. I am particularly interested in the prayer time surrounding La Porte and Deer Park and the bay inlet at La Porte. You are invited and welcomed to join! I believe this is a God ordained appointed time for this appointed season of time, the Year of the Gates. My spirit bears witness to this event, especially the date. I would like to humbly and in total reverence to the witness of Holy Spirit, share with you the following. Some of you would know for over 2 years God has given me the number 4, as it relates to intercession. In and with this and by His Grace, not having full revelation, but acting in faith and obedience I have prayed as I sensed the LORDs leading. In this season I have encountered several and various assignments, one which included the United Nations last year, September 11th. God has confirmed to me His leading with numerous confirmations surrounding praying for His Mercy, His Righteous Judgments/Justice with the purpose of His Kingdom Order and Restorative Works/Will to be accomplished. Praise YOU Jesus! Thank You Jesus for Darlene and her faithfulness! It was no coincidence that there was five of us,the divine number for grace, and five points on the Lone Star flag. We called in the five fold ministries for Texas and the five points of Gold Standard for Texas to agree: Israel, prolife, faith in public education, non-discrimination between the races, and marriage between a man and woman. The monuments base had different scenes of pioneers and the battles that were won to found our state engraved in the stone. I knew what we were doing was done in the pioneer spirit! After praying at the bottom of the monument, we went inside and took the brief tour, then went up to the top near the star to pray and it began to rain while we were inside and near the top. We prayed for the rain of God’s Spirit on Texas. From there we got a good view of the Battleship of Texas and prayed over the military and their protection, and the Houston Ship Channel for the economy of Texas which is based in this port. We declared His reign over all the state and that Texas would be one of the keys to revival for the entire USA and the world. This birthplace of Texas was important to bring reconciliation, to bridge differences so His body would come together for the Harvest. Our mission was to bury all offenses that had hardened peoples hearts to the Gospel and even within the Body of Christ causing division. We were to mend the nets so the harvest could come in! From Releasing the Prophetic Destiny of a Nation by Chuck Pierce and Dutch Sheets states the following: Gaps form when the enemy breaks through Gods protective hedge or shield. Gaps form: communications break down, confusion enters, legal structures form apart from Gods absolute law and authority, denomination and abuse occur between races, gained revelation through occult or illegal means, corruption or lack of integrity in government and other structures, spiritual leaders become immoral, covenant-breaking spirits produce division in the Body. These occur and God begins His process by searching for people who will receive His same heart, and stand in the gap until the situation on earth is changed and reflects Heavens perfect plan. Reconcile means to restore friendship and fellowship. When we reconcile with God first, then each other, it brings the change of mind and we open the gate for the King of Glory to come in and reign. We are developing new doors or portals in the heavenlies as we pray, war, decree, worship, and advance His order. He gives us grace over our enemies, especially through united worship and praise! We prayed in agreement with what was already prophesied over Texas by Pastor Dutch Sheets where he states: We are a prophetic people, and we are going to build BRIDGES into the new. We receive a new mantle of Your Spirit to mantle the state of Texas once again with a new level of prophetic anointing. We say the old is broken and the new has come, and the reproach is broken and the breaches are dealt with, and the new mantle is coming to Texas in Jesus name. We went to the East side of the monument to bury the first anointed rock I had brought as an act of faith to bury offenses and bring forth unity for the sake of the Harvest. It was buried in the middle of the green field below the monument, the side where you could see engraved in stone the pioneers! We felt that this place was significant and later learned that it was used for Christian concerts in the past! Then we drove to Janet’s home, the Raw Sterling Governors Mansion that is a smaller replica of the White House on the Bay of Galveston. It is in Morgan’s Point where Santa Ana and his men prepared to battle the Texans. He had captured a mulatto slave named Emily, a beautiful girl who was Captain Morgan’s slave. She had screamed out from the tent of Santa Ana that morning of the attack, They Come, they come! which let the Texans not be caught unawares by the Mexican army, so her cry became a victory cry, as the Texans also shouted and encouraged each other with “Remember the Alamo!” Later, the song, The Yellow Rose of Texas, was written for this brave woman. We all prayed that God would Raise up the Jaels who will defeat the enemy with one blow! The heart gate must hear the sound to shatter the hardened heart, like rock. To hammer means to pierce, puncture, strike through, perforate, pound to breakthrough! Months before, the Lord had given me a vision in a friends home, and He handed me a yellow rose and said to use it as a scepter, turning in each direction with that rose scepter calling in revival for Texas. When I left, I was given an arrangement of yellow roses to place in my home. On Hee had told me to carry them in your spirit when I wanted to take them on our trip. It was a great surprise to see those same yellow roses in the Governors Mansion! So I knew that this was a significant place to pray for our state. Another sweet lady was there already to meet us with lunch. What a beautiful mansion! What impressed us the most was the graciousness of our hostess, Janet, and the wonderful presence of the Holy Spirit and the angels that we sensed were there. We prayed over each sister and it was a powerful time of blessing and joy for all of us. Janet also blessed us with Cookbooks from the area with her wonderful Caribbean Zucchini Bread recipe that we had already sampled! We prayed for a friend from Morgan’s Point who had given a financial gift to a black minister and was facing criticism for this act of love, as she is a white woman. The Lord is bringing a breakthrough here among the races! From there we traveled on to League City, seeing the lighthouse in Kemah on our way to my dear friend’s home, Gabriel, Angela. and baby Karen. We thought their names were interesting as both parents names mean angels and the babys name means shofar! We felt so blessed and covered by the hand of the Lord everywhere we went. That evening we went to La Porte, the door to Texas and prayed with Pastor Karen and two other precious women at the Light of Christ Lutheran church. In the church foyer I noticed a beautiful mosaic cross made up of broken pieces of mirror. The Cross brings us all together! We had a special time of communion led by Pastor Karen, worship, praying over the church, and planting a financial seed as we sensed the Lord was going to multiply their ministry and outreach there. We also prayed for denominational barriers and gender barriers to come down for the purpose of the Harvest. Eleanor shared the story of the broken alabaster jar and just happened to throw out four broken pieces on the floor landing in four different directions to represent the brokenness we have in the Body of Christ and how we need to bury our divisions so the Lord can heal and mend us. Later, we buried one of the alabaster pieces as a prophetic act of faith in the church Prayer Garden. We also prayed the four corners of the earth declarations. Foursquare is the Biblical term for tabernacle, temple, and heaven, equally balanced on all sides, established and enduring. Christ the same, yesterday, today, and forever. The 4 ministries of Jesus: Savior, Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, Healer, and the Soon-Coming King. Compass Rose–direction on the map #4: 4 seasons, number of the world, 4 directions, 4 elements: earth, air, fire and water, 4 cherubim, 4 faces, 4 wings, 4 divisions of human race: nations, kindred, peoples, and tongues. 4 portraits of Christ in 4 gospels. New Jerusalem is foursquare. Darlene, one of the intercessors from the Houston area had stated that 4/4/08 would be a significant day in the Lord for new gateways to open to His Kingdom for His glory to be seen! We also lit the Sabbath candle and prayed for each home and church to be ignited with the passion of Christ and the fire of His love. We prayed for marriages to be reconciled. One of the ladies there who had been so instrumental in connecting me with many people in the region, was standing for reconciliation in her marriage and had heard from her husband that day, which never happens that he calls her. So that was very encouraging! We went out with her for dinner afterwards and fellowshipped about what the Lord is doing. The next morning, after a wonderful breakfast and time of fellowship with Gabriel’s dear family, we prayed a blessing over them and then headed to Santa Fe. We prayed again at a gazebo and a bridge was once again next to it. We were centered perfectly in the midst of the Fire station, police station, city hall, and the utility company. We had passed a Buddhist prayer garden in town on the way to the gazebo. It was unusually large and seemed strange to see in such a small town there. I felt we were supposed to do something, so on our way back to League City, we drove just inside the Gate, stopped the car and rolled down the car windows, playing the shofar CD loudly from the CD player. I felt the power of the Lord as we heard that shofar sound in the middle of all those huge Buddhas! Let God arise and His enemies be scattered. There was an oppression over that garden, but after the blowing of the shofar, a clearing wind blew through and the oppresive air lifted. Those statues had toppled in the spirit realm. I had no idea why we had even come to Santa Fe, except to make way for His kingdom there in the midst of idolatry. It was on to South Shore Harbor in League City. Pastor David Jones and Tyrrus, his worship leader met us to pray at the Lighthouse there. Before we met up with them however, we went into a resort near the marina to see if we could get any closer to the Lighthouse. South Shore Harbour Lighthouse is a conical tower with black and white bands and is operational. (Black and white-division/unity-brings light and safety to others) There, in one of the meeting rooms were Pirate decoration set up for a Masons meeting, with Captain Morgan displayed as a pirate overlooking a treasure chest. This just confirmed what the Lord had shown me earlier that Galveston and that area needed intercession concerning pirating, bootlegging, and gambling, including Freemasonry. Only worship and intercession, and true reconciliation can loosen the grip these evil spirits have over the area that revival might come. Pastor David Jones and Tyrrus met with us right on the marina. Once again there was five of us. We were able to walk out pretty far on the waters edge as no boats were docked at that time. Each docking place had a miniature lighthouse for the boats rope to hold it in place, and we had a perfect view of the Lighthouse. It was such an open spot to worship. I brought Pastor David my little drum from Jerusalem with the Egypt lighthouse painted on it. He played the drum, Tyrus the guitar, Eleanor and me our shofars and On Hee a banner and an American flag. We worshipped there and opened up the heavens calling in the kingdom and will of the Lord in that place. It was an amazing time. Tyrrus sang a beautiful and anointed new song of the Lord about what happens when we pray, and Eleanor joined in and sang a new verse to it as the Lord gave her words right there on the marina as he played. I love to see how the Lord connects His people! We were near NASA Johnson Space Center, NASA is Hebrew word for lift-off. We were lifting off in our praises, the power of lift in the Spirit, to open up the heavens for reconciliation and revival. We traveled then to Kemah Boardwalk, the Lighthouse District and the five of us worshipped and prayed. There were 5 palm trees as we stood beside the Lighthouse and planted the second rock taking authority over all offenses dividing the body of Christ plowing up hardened hearts through worship so the Body could to come together to hear the Word and receive each other. We had a powerful time of prayer! Kemah, on Galveston Bay, takes its name from a word from the Fist Nations Karankawa tribe that inhabited the area which means facing the wind. As the wind blew, we asked for the winds of the Holy Spirit. Pastor David shared with us a beautiful clear gemstone that had appeared in his Bible right at Psalm 145:3 and 147:5 that proclaims the greatness of our God! It was a display of Gods greatness and His love, the cross in the center a bridge for all people bring us together to be brilliant like a gem in His hand. They went on home and the three of us went to La Marque, the mark of Texas to pray. The address was 1111 where the City Hall, police station, and Fire station were located. I kept seeing 1111 many times. This confirmed again to me how our prayers were bringing in unity, one baptism, one Lord, one hope, one Body, etc. There was a time capsule planted there to be opened in 2027. There we planted our next rock of faith for true unity. God mark this place for Your glory, we prayed. I decree that we will hit the mark! Divisions will not pull us to the right or to the left. We will hear clearly and will not be drawn out or robbed of strength so that we miss the mark. The mark to hit is one of unity! One God, one faith, one baptism, one Body, One Spirit. Jn. 21:11,states, Simon Peter went up and drew the net to land full of great fishes an hundred and fifty and three; and all there were so many, yet was not the net broken. We were mending the nets which means To repair, hold up, strengthen, encourage, prevail, make firm, restore, support. We were traveling along the The Gulf Intracoastal Waterway representing the river of life from the throne room, which is moving water, infinitely powerful, which carves canyon out of solid rock. This liquid highway, is another power source that illustrates what happens when we connect as in Psalm 46 making glad the city of our God. Getting to Galveston, we took a ferry across to Point Bolivar and prayed at the lighthouse there on the shore. The Point Bolivar Lighthouse jad its first lights installed on Christmas Day, 1852, and later in 1900, 120 people sought shelter inside during the Great Storm and were saved from the hurricane that killed 6,000 people in Galveston the worst natural disaster in US history. Seated by twos on the towers spiral staircase, the refugees huddled together as 120 mile winds rocked the tower. 60 people sought refuge there in 1915 when the tidal surge inundated the structure and carried away its fuel supply, but everyone inside lived. Harry C. Claiborne, known as the best keeper in the district, began his 24 years of service at the Bolivar Point Lighthouse on Dec. 15, 1894, ending the bickering between the lighthouse keepers before him. He brought peace. Galveston was the most important seaport in Texas and poised for greatness before the Great Storm hit Sept. 8, 1900. Pirating, bootlegging, gambling, and slavery were noted there. The ports history includes 133,000 immigrants who entered the U.S. making it second in immigration behind Ellis Island. This was significant place for us to pray as immigration has become such a source of division in the US. Here we buried another rock in the sand and prayed for racial reconciliation, especially as we read about how many slaves had to walk from there to New Orleans. I asked Eleanor’s forgiveness for all we had done to the Black people in sinning against them and she received forgiveness on their behalf. We stood in the gap for those still in bondage to hatred and past sins. The Galveston South Jetty lighthouse was struck by lightning in 2000. The only thing left is the fresnel lens in a Museum there. I learned that these were first invented in France and shine further than other lights in the past, and are shaped like beehives. This reminded us of the calling out of Deborah’s for this season in history. For just as bees are dying, God is calling us to pray in the Deborahs in this generation, for her name means bee, industrious one. Also we call in the Jaels, like the Yellow Rose of Texas, she brought Sisera in her tent and it was while he was asleep and drunk on milk that she drove the tent stake into his temple, and the enemy of Israel was defeated! The Yellow Rose of Texas gave direction to the Texans that day at San Jacinto and brought victory to them against Santa Anas army! Compass Rose–direction on the map we kept seeing as we used the map of Texas, and reminded us of the four directions He had called us to turn to bring in His Kingdom. Eleanor said we must respect our diversities, renounce our divisions, and then we will recognize our destinies in Christ! We went to a rewarding fresh seafood dinner on the Galveston seawall and rejoiced in all the Lord had done for us! It was a long drive home, but we were blessed by each other’s company and continued to rejoice in all our divine meetings! Update from tour–a news report from Galveston Safety Officer Roger Stone Saved Four Others before Dying in Regatta Boating Accident Aimee Herd (June 9, 2008)Roger Stone died a hero in the classic sense of the word. (Galveston, TX)Fifty-three-year-old Roger Stone, a Safety Officer on a sailboat that began taking in water in the Gulf of Mexico, managed to help the 4 students and one other officer on board to get off safely before the boat sank, during a regatta this weekend. Stone’s body was recovered on Sunday afternoon, according to the AP report. The five survivors talked of how Stone rushed them off the craft, as soon as they realized it was in danger of sinking, putting their safety and their lives ahead of his own. Roger was a friend, a great sailor, a good coach and a true hero, remarked the other Safety Officer, Steve Conway, who helped to keep the others calm and working together until they were rescued. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family in their time of loss. Rhonda’s comment: Roger Stone–it was a stone that we planted in faith to rescue people from hardness of heart and to keep them from sinking into hate and indifference to the love of God for others, and reject the love of Christ for themselves. It was also Roger who laid down his life for his friends! A true demonstration of being a bridge of God’s grace and love. Five were saved, the number of grace! It is interesting that he rallied them together, to work together so that all were saved! The Body of Christ must rally together to bring salvation to the multitudes that will drown in sin and darkness.
